AP Cabinet Clears Key Decisions on Jobs, Infrastructure and Investments

Meeting chaired by N. Chandrababu Naidu approves over 20 agenda items, including port funding, Amaravati development, and policy reforms

Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has taken several key decisions focusing on employment, infrastructure, agriculture, urban development, and investments. The meeting, chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at the Secretariat, lasted nearly three-and-a-half hours and approved more than 20 agenda items.

Among the major decisions, the Cabinet gave the green signal for revising lease renewal and rent policies for municipal assets. It also approved proposed legislative amendments to implement uniform mutation charges across urban local bodies in the state.

In administrative reforms, the Cabinet cleared the proposal to upgrade the Office Manager post to Section Officer in the Advocates-on-Record office at AP Bhavan in New Delhi.

The government sanctioned administrative approval of ₹354 crore for the construction works of the greenfield port project at Ramayapatnam. Additionally, it approved a government guarantee to enable AP Markfed to secure a loan of ₹1,800 crore.

For Amaravati, the Cabinet granted administrative sanction of ₹1,208 crore for multiple development works. It also approved the promotion of 385 constables from the 2000 batch of the Special Protection Force to Head Constables.

Further, the Cabinet agreed to the creation of 21 new posts in the High Court and district courts, strengthening the judicial infrastructure in the state.
