AP Braces For Thunderstorms As Low Pressure Forms
Officials said strong winds with speeds ranging between 30 and 50 kmph are also expected in several areas. They said the thunderstorms might bring down the temperature, giving much relief to the people.

Visakhapatnam: The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) has warned of widespread rains across the state over the next few days. APSDMA managing director Prakhar Jain on Sunday said that a trough extending from Bihar through Jharkhand, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh up to the Coastal Andhra region is continuing to influence weather conditions.
He also stated that, under the influence of an upper-air cyclonic circulation over Sri Lanka and adjoining areas, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the southwest Bay of Bengal within the next 48 hours. Due to these systems, widespread thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are likely over Coastal Andhra until Thursday and over Rayalaseema until Tuesday.
Officials said strong winds with speeds ranging between 30 and 50 kmph are also expected in several areas. They said the thunderstorms might bring down the temperature, giving much relief to the people.
People have been advised to avoid staying in open places and to take shelter in safe buildings during thunderstorms. Authorities warned the public not to stand near old structures or large hoardings.
Farmers have been urged to take necessary precautions while carrying out agricultural activities. The disaster management authority also appealed to farmers and cattle herders not to take shelter under trees during lightning and thunderstorms.
