Sify expansion, CtrlS data centre and new IT campuses to boost jobs and digital growth.

Visakhapatnam: The Andhra Pradesh government has cleared a fresh round of technology investments, including the expansion of Sify Infinit Spaces Ltd’s Rs 15,266-crore data centre project in Visakhapatnam.

This is as part of the government’s push to strengthen digital infrastructure and position Visakhapatnam and Anakapalle as technology hubs.

The government decided to provide an additional 25 acres for the second phase of Sify's proposed 500 MW data centre. Nod was also given for IT campuses by Infinx Technology Solutions and Eclat Health Solutions in Visakhapatnam, and a 100mw data centre by CtrlS Datacenters in Anakapalle district.

Sify, which had earlier been allotted 3.6 acres at Madhurawada and 25 acres at Paradesipalem under a government order issued in August 2025, has received approval for an additional 25 acres to help achieve its planned capacity.

The government has retained the allotment price at Rs 50 lakh per acre.

Of the additional land, 12.40 acres will be allotted initially, subject to the outcome of a case pending before the survey and settlements department, while the remaining 12.60 acres would be handed over after the pending court cases are resolved.

The government has stipulated that Phase I of the project must commence before the balance land is allotted, with further allotments linked to satisfactory project progress.

Infinx Technology Solutions Pvt Ltd has been allotted 5.08 acres at Kapuluppada IT Park to establish an IT/ITeS campus with a proposed investment of Rs 170 crore. The project, to be implemented in two phases, is expected to generate about 4,000 jobs.

The land has been allotted at Rs 2 crore per acre under the Andhra Pradesh IT & GCC Policy (4.0) 2024–29.

Eclat Health Solutions (India) Pvt Ltd has been allotted two acres at Rushikonda, Madhurawada, for an IT/ITeS campus with a proposed investment of Rs 50 crore and an employment commitment of 1,000 jobs. The land was earlier allotted to iSpace Software Solutions Pvt Ltd, but the allotment was cancelled after the company failed to remit the land cost within the stipulated period.

The company has been directed to commence commercial operations within 12 months of executing the sale agreement and achieve its employment target within the following year.

CtrlS Datacenters Ltd has been allotted 49.93 acres at the APIIC Industrial Park in Rambilli, Anakapalle district, to establish a 100mw data centre with a proposed investment of Rs 2,788.3 crore. The project would generate direct employment for about 160 people.

The government has also approved a customised incentive package for CtrlS, including capital subsidy, reimbursement of construction-related SGST, subsidised power tariff, exemption from electricity duty, water tariff subsidy, waiver of Right of Way charges, concessions on optical fibre access costs, and reimbursement of expenditure on electrical infrastructure, subject to prescribed limits.
