AP Approves Four New BTech Courses at VSU Engineering College

The Andhra Pradesh government has approved four new self-financed BTech programmes at Vikrama Simhapuri University College of Engineering from the 2026–27 academic year.

The Andhra Pradesh government has approved the introduction of four self-financed BTech programmes at the Vikrama Simhapuri University College of Engineering, Kakutur, from the 2026–27 academic year.

According to G.O. Rt. No. 153 issued by the higher education department on July 25, the newly sanctioned programmes are computer science and engineering (CSE), artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI & ML), artificial intelligence and data science (AI & DS), and electronics and communication engineering (ECE).

Each programme has been allotted an intake of 60 seats, taking the total sanctioned intake to 240 seats.

University authorities said the new courses have been introduced to meet the growing demand for industry-orientated engineering education and equip students with skills required in emerging technology sectors. Admissions to the four programmes will commence from the 2026–27 academic year under the college code VSUESF.
