Visakhapatnam: The Andhra Pradesh government has approved land allotments for industrial and infrastructure projects in Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Anakapalli districts, with the proposed investments estimated at more than Rs 4,700 crore.
In a key decision, the government cancelled the earlier allotment of 60.29 acres at Kapuluppada in Visakhapatnam, which had been earmarked for the Vizag Tech Park project, and allotted the land to the Adani Group for a proposed project involving an investment of Rs 2,168 crore.
The government also allotted 93.43 acres at the Bobbili Growth Centre in Vizianagaram district to Berry Alloys for establishing an integrated manganese centre.
In Parawada of Anakapalli district, Akshat Greentech was allotted 34.02 acres for a project with a proposed investment of Rs 1,600 crore.
Separately, 91.38 acres at Kanamam village in Anandapuram mandal of Visakhapatnam district were allotted to Eco Box Industrial Asset for the establishment of a logistics and light industrial park with a proposed investment of Rs 1,008 crore.
According to the government, Eco Box will also serve as the development partner for Google’s proposed project.
The government said the land allotments were aimed at attracting large-scale investments, generating employment and strengthening the state’s industrial ecosystem.
