AP Aims To Emerge As India’s Industrial Leader: Kollu
Andhra Pradesh has the capacity to meet the nation’s industrial requirements: Kollu Ravindra

VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh government is determined to place the state at the forefront of the country’s industrial growth by effectively utilising its natural resources and infrastructure, minister for mines, geology and excise Kollu Ravindra said on Sunday.
Interacting with participants at the Business Expo organised by the Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry Federation in Vijayawada, the minister said Andhra Pradesh has the capacity to meet the nation’s industrial requirements. He visited various stalls at the expo and reviewed innovative products, stating that new technologies are ushering in a fresh industrial era in the state.
Ravindra said the increasing investments in infrastructure are a positive sign for industrial expansion. He highlighted the state’s strategic advantages, including its nearly 1,000-km-long coastline, well-developed ports, and strong road and rail connectivity.
Drawing a comparison with Hyderabad’s transformation following the construction of the Outer Ring Road, he said a similar vision is guiding the development of Amaravati. Although construction of the capital was delayed due to challenges faced over the past five years, works are now being taken up at an accelerated pace.
The minister said a comprehensive development plan has been prepared to ensure balanced growth across all three regions of the state. The Visakhapatnam Economic Region is being developed from Srikakulam to East Godavari, the Amaravati Region from West Godavari to Prakasam district, and the Rayalaseema Economic Region covering Nellore along with the Rayalaseema districts.
AP Chambers president Potluri Bhaskara Rao and others participated in the programme.
