Anitha Reviews Simhachalam Temple Arrangements Ahead of Chandanotsavam
"We are expecting two lakh devotees this year, which represents a 30 per cent increase from the previous festivities," Anitha noted

Visakhapatnam: Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha held a comprehensive review of the Simhachalam temple arrangements on Sunday in preparation for the April 30 Chandanotsavam festival.
The minister received a ceremonial welcome at the Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple, where she went on to have darshan of the Kappastambham Ailinganam Swamy and received Vedic blessings from temple priests.
"We are giving high priority to the darshan experience of ordinary devotees," Anitha said, adding, "We are implementing measures to ensure that devotees have a peaceful darshan of Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy without any inconvenience."
Anitha outlined several key arrangements, including the conclusion of inner temple darshans by 6pm on the festival day. Traffic management plans and additional bus services to accommodate the large flow of crowds have been arranged.
"We are expecting two lakh devotees this year, which represents a 30 per cent increase from the previous festivities," she noted.
A group of five ministers is reviewing the arrangements - an unprecedented level of preparation for Chandanotsavam.
The minister noted that Lord Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, revered as the deity of North Andhra, can be seen without sandalwood paste only on April 30.
“For devotees’ comfort, we have arranged hand fans and refreshments, including milk, curd, and biscuits,” the minister said.
Anitha said the state government has recently overseen successful festivals at various temples in the region.
