Andhra University Clarifies There Is No Hike in Hostel Fees
A similar provision has been extended for the payment of establishment charges.

Visakhapatnam:Andhra University has clarified that there has been no increase in hostel fees for students this academic year and that the existing fee structure remains unchanged.
University officials said the institution has taken over the full wage burden of hostel staff, particularly 28-day employees, following a decision by vice-chancellor G.P. Rajasekhar. Earlier, students had to bear 50 per cent of these wage costs through hostel mess bills. The move is expected to reduce the financial burden on students.
The university has also introduced an instalment facility for students with pending mess dues. A similar provision has been extended for the payment of establishment charges.
Officials said more than 70 per cent of students across all hostels have already secured accommodation and that full-fledged mess facilities were made available from the first day of classes.
They reiterated that students can clear outstanding dues through instalment plans and said the university is committed to ensuring the smooth functioning of hostel mess facilities without imposing any additional financial burden on students.
