Andhra to Andhra via Telangana: TD MLA Ganta’s Travel Woes Spark Online Buzz

The post sparked a range of reactions from users on X.

Hyderabad: Former minister and Telugu Desam (TD) MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao took to social media to share his frustrating travel experience while trying to reach Amaravati from Visakhapatnam—via Hyderabad.

In a post tagging Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, minister Nara Lokesh, and Union minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, Rao detailed his travel ordeal. He explained that he departed from Visakhapatnam airport at 8 am, flew to Hyderabad, and then reached Vijayawada by 1 pm.
He noted that even CII and FICCI representatives, who had scheduled meetings with the Chief Minister, had to follow the same indirect route via Hyderabad. The inconvenience, Rao said, was due to the cancellation of two morning flights between Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada, coupled with the non-availability of the Vande Bharat train on Tuesday.
The post sparked a range of reactions from users on X (formerly Twitter). One user commented that the Vizag–Vijayawada route is unprofitable due to low passenger traffic. Another questioned the MLA’s decision, saying, “Y sir wasted so much time. You could have just come by road.” A third user pointedly asked, “Instead of venting here, why not build a business case and discuss it with Ram Mohan Naidu?”
