VIJAYAWADA: Telugu Desam politburo member Varla Ramaiah took oath as a member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council on Wednesday.
Council Chairman Koyye Moshen Raju administered the oath to Ramaiah during the Council Session.
Ramaiah was nominated to the Council under the Governor’s quota.
Earlier, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had announced the names of Ramaiah and party leader Dalavai Ramadevi for nomination to the Council under the Governor’s quota. Ramadevi is yet to take oath as an MLC.
