Andhra Pradesh: Srikalahasti Temple Receives ₹1.63 Crore In Hundi Offerings

Devotees also offered 35.100 grams of gold and 539 kg of silver: Reports

TIRUPATI: The Sri Kalahasteeswara Swamy Temple at Srikalahasti received ₹1.63 crore in hundi offerings collected over a 22-day period, temple officials said.

The hundi counting, carried out on Wednesday, covered offerings made between June 23 and July 15. The temple received a total of ₹1,63,69,899, including ₹1,56,35,259 in currency notes and ₹7,34,640 in coins.

Devotees also offered 35.100 grams of gold and 539 kg of silver. The hundi contained 157 foreign currency notes and coins from the United States, Malaysia, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait and Sri Lanka.

Temple Executive Officer B.K. Venkatesulu, Trust Board Chairman K. Sai Prasad and other officials were present during the hundi counting.
