VISAKHAPATNAM: Rear Admiral Gokul Krishna Dutta assumed charge as Chief Staff Officer (Personnel and Administration) at the Headquarters of the Eastern Naval Command on Saturday.
Commissioned into the Indian Navy on January 1, 1993, Rear Admiral Dutta is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Pune, the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, and the College of Defence Management, Secunderabad.
During his career, he has held several specialist appointments afloat and ashore in logistics and supply chain management, information technology projects and data analytics. He has also served onboard frontline warships INS Sutlej, INS Talwar and INS Shivalik.
