Andhra Pradesh: Naidu Wraps Up Week-Long District Tour

The CM began his districts-tour on July 1 in Nellore district by participating in the Pedala Sevalo programme: Reports

TIRUPATI: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will return to Amaravati on Monday after a week-long tour of Nellore, Tirupati, Kadapa and Chittoor districts, where he participated in a series of programmes and interacted with the public.

After reaching Velagapudi from Kuppam, Naidu would hold reviews on RTGS and the development plans for Visakhapatnam, Amaravati and Tirupati economic regions.

The CM began his districts-tour on July 1 in Nellore district by participating in the Pedala Sevalo programme. He distributed NTR Bharosa pensions and said the state government disbursed ₹68,598 crore under the scheme so far. He also announced plans for a mega furniture park in Nellore district and promised completion of the Veligonda project.

Later, Naidu laid the foundation for Hero MotoCorp's Global Parts Centre 2.0 in Tirupati district. The company also joined the P4 initiative through Swarna Andhra Foundation and launched the Heroes of Tomorrow scholarships.

On July 2, Naidu, Union minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and deputy CM Pawan Kalyan launched the Centre’s VB-G RAM G mission from Kodur. The programme involves ₹7,700 crore central funds and ₹4,000 crore as state contribution. He later attended the Economic Intelligence for Governance workshop in Tirupati as part of Swarna Andhra-2047.

On July 3, the CM launched works for JSW’s Rayalaseema Steel Plant at Sunnapurallapalli in Kadapa district. The project, along with JSW Neo Energy solar captive power project, involves investments worth over ₹20,000 crore and is expected to generate employment opportunities.

During his three-day Kuppam visit, Naidu launched over 30 projects worth ₹9,322 crore under the Swarna Kuppam initiative, including Adidas footwear manufacturing and aircraft training-related projects. These projects are expected to create over 87,000 direct and indirect jobs. He also inaugurated ABIS Proteins’ chicken processing unit, APIIC MSME Park, solar rooftop projects, RESCO substations and laid the foundation stone for a ₹118 crore model bus station.

The chief minister also distributed DKT pattas to 322 beneficiaries, resolving the decades-old Kangundi land issue. He inaugurated CT scan and dialysis facilities at Kuppam Area Hospital and interacted with poultry farmers, progressive farmers and P4 beneficiaries.
