Andhra Pradesh: MLA Launches ₹58-Lakh Development Works At Narasapuram

NELLORE: Prashanthi Reddy on Sunday inaugurated development works worth ₹58 lakh in Narasapuram village, saying the coalition government was delivering on its election promises while giving equal priority to welfare and infrastructure.
The works include two culverts across the Mypadu and Mypadu Branch canals built at a cost of ₹14.5 lakh, internal cement roads worth ₹8.1 lakh and household tap water connections under the Jal Jeevan Mission costing ₹35.5 lakh.
Addressing villagers, the MLA said the new culverts had resolved a three-decade-old problem and assured that pending works, including CC roads, drains and housing, would be taken up soon. She said estimates had already been prepared for constructing 2 km of drains in the village.
Prashanthi Reddy said the coalition government had implemented several welfare schemes, including Thalliki Vandanam, free bus travel for women, enhanced pensions, free LPG cylinders and reduced power tariffs for aqua farmers. She welcomed the extension of the Thalliki Vandanam scheme to Anganwadi centres, calling it a historic decision.
The MLA said more than ₹1.35 crore had been spent on development and welfare works in Narasapuram during the past two years. She later attended a programme organised by Anganwadi staff to thank the government for extending the Thalliki Vandanam scheme to Anganwadi centres.
