"Efforts are being made to improve road infrastructure in such villages, which will greatly benefit residents," she underlined.
The minister pointed out that in addition to roads, they are starting rural health centres, referred to as container hospitals, to meet healthcare requirements in tribal villages. Further, she wanted expeditious provision of additional facilities at ashram schools to safeguard tribal students during harsh winter conditions.Sandhya Rani sought revision in the food menu for tribal students residing in hostels, apart from distribution of new plates, glasses, blankets and bed linen to them for enhancing their comfort. She asked students to concentrate on their studies and physical activities and excel in their 10
th
standard examinations.
Kumari, a Class 10 student of Pachipenta girls' ashram school, appreciated the minister for visiting their school. She underlined that there are 370 students in the school but toilet facilities are inadequate. The minister immediately instructed the executive engineer of the Tribal Welfare department to immediately prepare estimates for construction of additional toilets.
