Andhra Pradesh: Man Dies After Suspected Cardiac Arrest Following Attack On Relative

The incident occurred after Masthanaiah allegedly made a remark about Venkateswarlu’s attitude: Reports

NELLORE: A 64-year-old man died of a suspected cardiac arrest after he became anxious over the possibility of a relative, he had allegedly attacked suffering fatal injuries at Indupur village in Allur mandal on Monday evening.

According to Allur sub-inspector A. Srinivasa Reddy, the deceased, Parri Venkateswarlu, 64, and B. Masthanaiah, 62, were close relatives and lived in the same colony at Indupur. The two had reportedly been at loggerheads for a long time.

The incident occurred after Masthanaiah allegedly made a remark about Venkateswarlu’s attitude. Angered by the comment, Venkateswarlu allegedly attacked Masthanaiah with a stick, causing a bleeding head injury.

Venkateswarlu, along with some locals, took Masthanaiah to a nearby hospital after realising the seriousness of the injury. While waiting at the hospital, Venkateswarlu reportedly became anxious, fearing that Masthanaiah might die from the injury. He suddenly collapsed and died at the hospital.

The sub-inspector said both men were allegedly in an inebriated condition at the time of the incident. Venkateswarlu was diabetic and had a history of heart-related ailments. Masthanaiah’s condition was reported to be stable.

Venkateswarlu is survived by his wife, a daughter and two sons. Kavali Rural circle inspector A. Sivasankar is investigating the case.
