Andhra Pradesh: Lokesh To Lay Foundation For Wind Power
The projects are expected to generate direct and indirect employment for around 4,000 people: Reports
ANANTAPUR: Suzlon is set to invest around ₹10,000 crore in new wind power projects in the Rayadurg Assembly constituency of Anantapur district.
IT and education minister N. Lokesh will inaugurate Suzlon’s new S144 blade manufacturing line with a capacity of 300 MW at Huliker village in Kanekal mandal on Tuesday. The facility has been established to support the company’s proposed wind energy projects with a combined capacity of 1,325 MW in the district.
The projects are expected to generate direct and indirect employment for around 4,000 people and boost industrial activity and renewable energy development in the area.
Rayadurg MLA Kalava Srinivasulu said the wind power projects would further strengthen Anantapur’s position as a hub for renewable energy and wind power equipment manufacturing in the state.
As part of his visit to the Rayadurg Assembly constituency, Lokesh will also meet Telugu Desam cadres. It will be his first visit to the constituency since the TD-led NDA came to power.
