Andhra Pradesh: Legislature Forms 9 Joint Committees for 2025–26
The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker and Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council Chairman have constituted the joint committees.

Vijayawada: Nine joint committees have been formed for AP Legislature for 2025-26 with each one having 12 members except for one committee having just 10 members, here on Saturday.
The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker and Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council Chairman have constituted the joint committees.
They are: committee on amenities to be headed by the Assembly Speaker Ch. Ayyannapatrudu as chairman, committee on wildlife and environment protection to be headed by Speaker Ch. Ayyannapatrudu as chairman, committee on welfare of scheduled castes to be headed by Varalakshmi Kumar Raja as chairman, committee on welfare of scheduled tribes to be headed by Miriyala Sirisha Devi as chairperson, committee on welfare of minorities to be headed by Mohammed Naseer Ahmed as chairman, committee on welfare of women, children, disabled and aged persons to be headed by Gowru Charitha Reddy as chairperson, committee on subordinate legislation to be headed by Thota Trimurthulu as chairman, committee on welfare of backward classes to be headed by Ravichandra Beeda as chairman and a 10 member committee on library to be headed by Rama Subba Reddy Ponnapureddy as chairman.
Similarly, the AP Legislative Council chairman has also constituted seven committees and they are: committee on rules to be headed by Council chairman Koyye Moshenu Raju, committee on development of Telugu language and culture to be headed by Council chairman Koyye Moshenu Raju, committee on petitions to be headed by deputy chairperson Mayana Zakia Khanam, committee on papers laid on the table to be headed by Pandula Ravindra Babu as chairman, committee on ethics to be headed by Bhumireddy Rajagopal Reddy as chairman, committee on privileges to be headed by B.Tirumala Reddy tapas chairman and a committee on government assurances to be headed by Contractor Issac Basha as chairman.
