Andhra Pradesh: Hoteliers Seek Uniform PNG Pricing, Lower GST On Rental Premises
The association appealed to the government to ensure transparency and uniformity in PNG pricing across the state: Reports

VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh Star Hotels Association has urged the state government to ensure uniform pricing for commercial piped natural gas (PNG) and reduce GST on rental premises used by hotels and restaurants from 18 per cent to 5 per cent.
A delegation led by association president R.V. Swamy submitted a representation to NTR district Joint Collector S. Ilakkiya in Vijayawada on Tuesday.
Swamy said public sector oil companies such as HP Gas, Indian Oil and Bharat Gas generally follow transparent commercial fuel pricing structures. However, he alleged that some PNG distributors were charging higher rates than others.
He cited Bhagyanagar Gas Limited, which operates in Vijayawada, as charging higher prices, while Godavari Gas Private Limited in Rajamahendravaram was maintaining comparatively reasonable rates.
The association appealed to the government to ensure transparency and uniformity in PNG pricing across the state.
The hoteliers also sought a reduction in GST on rental premises used by the hospitality sector, urging the state government to take up the issue with the appropriate authorities.
