Vijayawada:The Andhra Pradesh High Court has heard a Public Interest Litigation (PIL), seeking registration of an FIR and ordering a probe by the CBI or ED on plundering of natural resources to make lakhs of crores of rupees and causing revenue loss to the state exchequer involving former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and others.

A division bench headed by Chief Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice Cheemalapati Ravi heard the PIL, filed by Delhi-based advocate M. Maheswari through online, here on Wednesday. When the court asked the advocate about the details of how many PILs filed and issues raised, the advocate replied by saying that issues like temples, corruption and income tax and others were raised in the court.

The advocate submitted that the PIL was filed based on the information available in the white paper submitted by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in the Assembly with regard to the corruption in the previous YSRC regime.

As the petitioner intended to appear before the court and present the arguments in person, the court adjourned the case for hearing to next week.
