Andhra Pradesh: Customers Protest At Ola Electric Showroom In Kadapa

The protesters alleged that the showroom accepted advance payments for electric bikes, promising early delivery: Reports

KADAPA: Tension prevailed in Kadapa on Tuesday as customers staged a protest outside an Ola Electric showroom, alleging that the management had collected advance payments without delivering the vehicles.

The protesters alleged that the showroom accepted advance payments for electric bikes, promising early delivery, but failed to hand over the vehicles even after several days. As customers gathered outside the outlet, the showroom was closed.

According to sources, more than 60 customers had paid amounts ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh each.

One of the customers, C. Rammohan, alleged that the showroom had neither delivered the bikes nor responded to repeated phone calls after collecting the money.

The protesters claimed that a notice displayed at the showroom asked customers to contact a mobile number, but alleged that their calls went unanswered.

Demanding intervention by the authorities, the customers sought either delivery of the vehicles or a refund of the amounts paid. They also urged officials to take action against those responsible for the alleged fraud.

Police had not issued a statement on the incident at the time of filing this report.
