Andhra Pradesh: Cops Suspect Grudge Behind Couple’s Murder

Initially, police suspected that property offenders might have involved in the double murder for gain. However, they found no missing gold ornaments or cash from the home.

Visakhapatnam: The police have intensified their investigation into the murder case of a couple found in a pool of blood in their house at Rajeev Nagar locality under the Duvvada police station limits in Vizag city.

The victims, G. Yogendrababu, 66, a retired Naval dockyard employee and his wife Lakshmi, 52, a teacher at a local school, were found dead in separate rooms of their house on Friday night by Yogendrababu’s nephew, who found the house locked.

Initially, police suspected that property offenders might have involved in the double murder for gain. However, they found no missing gold ornaments or cash from the home.

Visakhapatnam city police commissioner Shanka Brata Bagchi said they have gathered some clues in the case. Preliminary investigation suggest that someone known to the couple might have been involved in the murders. The police are now suspecting a personal grudge as the motive behind these crimes. Four teams have been formed to nab the killers, the officer said.
