Andhra Pradesh CM Unveils Ambitious Industrial And Welfare Roadmap In Atmakur
Government would provide the infrastructure for those aiming to set up their units in MSME parks

NELLORE: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has announced the establishment of 175 MSME parks across 175 constituencies, and reiterated the state government’s vision of making one entrepreneur for every household.
Inaugurating 11 of them in remote mode on May Day, including the one at Narampeta, Naidu declared the government's firm commitment to generate 20 lakh jobs through industrial expansion.
At a community event in Nellurupalem village of Atmakur constituency, the CM distributed widow pensions and promised job-oriented training to TTC-qualified Susmitha. He promised to facilitate her daughter’s admission into a Gurukula school.
Naidu said the government would provide the infrastructure for those aiming to set up their units in MSME parks. He called upon farmers and women to actively participate in industrial ventures and promised necessary permissions and support.
He noted that investments of upto `2,000 crore are expected in the first phase. Some 15,000 MSME units would be operational by 2027–28, generating over two lakh jobs.
Targeting past governments, the chief minister alleged that they pushed construction workers into poverty. “We are restoring their dignity by ensuring work, promoting the housing sector and offering free sand,” he claimed and highlighted his government’s healthcare support, including new hospitals for workers in Guntur, Sri City and Kurnool.
On pensions, Naidu said 64 lakh people are receiving assistance. He announced the upgrading of pensions to `4,000, with `15,000 for the bedridden and `10,000 for dialysis patients.
Naidu said widow pensions would be verified and distributed by June 1.
The CM outlined the progress in Amaravati’s development as the capital city with college campuses, central institutions and the upcoming Ratan Tata Innovation Hub spread around. He announced regional innovation hubs in Vizag, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Tirupati and Anantapur and stressed that AI would be the future for youth employment.
In a touching gesture, Naidu pledged a government-built house with amenities and a deposit of 4 lakh for the four children of a destitute woman, Gnanamma. Alongside, under the Margadarshi – Bangarukutumbam programme, philanthropist Nageswara Rao promised to sponsor her children’s education.
Naidu affirmed his commitment to Nellore district’s development, highlighting projects like the `5,000 crore BPCL refinery at Ramayapatnam, the Dagadarthi airport, and the `5,000 crore investment by LG in Sri City, all poised to transform the region into a green energy and industrial hub.
With a blend of industrial growth, social security and grassroots empowerment, Naidu said the NDA government is building not just infrastructure, but also a stronger, self-reliant Andhra Pradesh.
