Andhra Pradesh: CM Call To Make Online Services Easily Accessible To People

The CM directed them to ensure adequate supply of water to the crops that were under cultivation: Reports

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to make the online government services more accessible to the people by using the high-end technology like AI Assistant, DigiVerifi, DataLake and Blockchain.

Naidu chaired a –high-level review meeting with senior officials from various departments, at RTGS Centre in the Secretariat here on Monday, to review their functioning. He underscored the need to improve administrative efficiency with a view to providing quality services to the people.

He said, “Make government services accessible in such a way that no citizen needs to visit offices to avail any service. There is a need to integrate data with the 1,204 services being offered through WhatsApp Governance ManaMitra.”

The officials briefed the CM on the status of the crops in the wake of the El Niño effect and informed him that the farm produce would come down by 20 per cent this season due to this phenomenon. Godavari water could be supplied through the Pattiseema project to the Krishna delta area up to the end of September, they said.

The CM directed them to ensure adequate supply of water to the crops that were under cultivation. Encourage the farmers who have not started raising crops to opt for alternative crops instead of paddy, he said, and asked the officials to send crop alerts to the farmers on a regular basis and also act on their responses.

Naidu asked them to use the APTS analytics also for the purpose and coordinate with the AWARE app. He said there should be no shortage of potable water for residential areas. There, he said, is also a need to keep a tab on malaria and dengue cases, identify the hot spots and take preventive steps.

Officials said 1,361 dengue cases were registered in the state last year while 401 cases recorded so far.

The CM asked the officials to focus on promotion of renewable energy to reach the carbon-natural target and come up with an action plan to install solar rooftops.
