Anantapur Police Step Up Security for Presidential Visit
The President is scheduled to attend the university's first convocation as the chief guest at the Jnana Seema campus.
Anantapur: Ahead of President Droupadi Murmu's visit to the Central University of Andhra Pradesh on July 1, Anantapur superintendent of police P. Jagadish on Tuesday reviewed security and bandobast arrangements at the university campus.
The President is scheduled to attend the university's first convocation as the chief guest at the Jnana Seema campus.
As part of the preparations for the VVIP visit, the SP inspected the convocation venue, helipads, parking areas, route arrangements and other key locations connected with the event. He reviewed deployment plans and directed officials to ensure foolproof security and seamless coordination among all departments involved.
Jagadish emphasised strict adherence to security protocols and instructed officers to make comprehensive arrangements for the smooth conduct of the President's visit and the convocation ceremony.
The SP also held a review meeting with Central University Vice-Chancellor Dr S.A. Kori and university officials.
Additional SP (AR) Ilyas Basha, Anantapur Rural DSP T. Srinivasulu, Central University Security Liaison Officer and retired DSP Ramakrishnaiah, and other officials were present.
