Anantapur Officials Receive Awards for Peaceful Election Conduct

Anantapur: Anantapur district collector Dr B. Vinod Kumar and SP P. Jagadish, along with several other officials, were honoured with awards for successfully ensuring the peaceful conduction of the general elections.

Dr Vinod Kumar, who took charge as the district collector of Anantapur, managed to conduct elections in this faction-ridden and historically troublesome district. Despite challenges such as law and order issues and the presence of bogus voters prior to the elections, he ensured the smooth execution of the electoral process.

Similarly, SP P. Jagadish, who previously served as SP of East Godavari, was recognised for his efforts in maintaining order and facilitating fair elections in Anantapur.

The collector and the SP received their awards from Chief Secretary Vijayanand during a programme held in Vijayawada on Saturday.
