Anantapur: Minor Girl Stripped, Sexually Harassed For Black Rituals

In an inhuman incident, a minor girl was stripped and sexually harassed by a woman, forcing her to participate in black rituals in Anantapur district.
A poor family migrated to Anantapur from Kalyanadurgam in search of livelihood. Taking their poverty as an advantage, the woman convinced the couple that they would become rich if they performed the ritual naked. In the name of the ritual, the woman put the minor girl and her mother to severe inconvenience.
It is learnt that one Hemanth Kumar was brought to perform the ritual. He took the girl to a secret place and touched her inappropriately while performing the rituals. On August 9, the woman took the girl's mother to Kadapa and tortured her there, in the name of some rituals. On Aug. 11 too, the girl and her mother were again being taken in a car, saying that the ritual performed earlier had not given the desired result. Observing this, the locals complained to the police. On seeing the cops, the woman absconded.
Kadapa police registered a case and then transferred it to Anantapur I Town police station. Police collected information about the accused and launched a manhunt for them.
