Ambedkar’s Ideals Guide Nation Even Today: Rammohan Naidu

The minister, along with local MLA Kuna Ravikumar, unveiled a statue of Dr Ambedkar at Fakir Saheb Peta village under Purushothapuram Panchayat in Sarubujjili mandal of Amadalavalasa constituency in Srikakulam district.

Visakhapatnam: Union minister for civil aviation Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu on Saturday said the Constitution given to the nation by B. R. Ambedkar had ensured equal rights and freedom for every citizen and continued to guide the present generation.

The minister, along with local MLA Kuna Ravikumar, unveiled a statue of Dr Ambedkar at Fakir Saheb Peta village under Purushothapuram Panchayat in Sarubujjili mandal of Amadalavalasa constituency in Srikakulam district.

Addressing the gathering, Ravikumar praised Ambedkar’s lifelong commitment to social justice, equality and the upliftment of weaker sections. He said the true tribute to Ambedkar lay not merely in erecting statues but in practising his ideals in daily life.

The minister said the government was working towards the comprehensive development of villages and the welfare of the people. Leaders first offered floral tributes to Ambedkar’s portrait, and the village witnessed large participation during the unveiling ceremony.

Local public representatives, leaders of various political parties, representatives of Ambedkar associations, village elders and a large number of residents attended the programme.
