Amaravati: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said on Friday, “We will build Amaravati in a way that every citizen would proudly say it’s ‘my’ capital!”

Speaking at the construction work relaunch done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Naidu spoke of his vision to transform Amaravati into India's 'Quantum Valley' and sought the PM’s support for this.
The Chief Minister announced that not only the restarting of the capital works but also the launch of the modern capital city would be at the hands of PM Modi. Maintaining that a strong India has emerged under the able leadership of Modi, he also said, "I have personally witnessed the anguish in Modi after the Pahalgam attack."
All the decisions taken by the PM in the interest of the nation in the aftermath of Pahalgam “will be solidly supported,” Naidu said amid a display of national flags and slogans of 'Hum Aapke Saath Hai' and 'Vande Mataram'.
The PM joined Naidu and others in chanting 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'.

Giving a warm welcome to the PM, who formally restarted the Amaravati works under ‘Amaravati Punah: Prarambham’, the CM asked the large gathering to chant in unison, 'Vande Mataram'.

The CM recalled that when he started his rule in 2014 without a capital, Amaravati, nestled on the banks of the Krisha river, was chosen to play this role for the state. “A holy land with the Lord Amaralingeswara Swamy temple, the capital of the Satavahanas and the spiritual centre of the Buddhists was chosen as the capital,” he said.
