Visakhapatnam: Amaravati Royals defeated Bhimavaram Bulls by three wickets at the APL Season 4 eighth match played at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday.
Bhimavaram made 191 runs losing four wickets in 20 overs while Amaravati Royals in reply scored 192 runs losing seven wickets.
For Bhimavaram Bulls, Nimmala Himakar scored 81 runs with six sixes and six fours in 44 balls. Wicket-keeper Revant Reddy scored 69 runs with three sixes and three fours in 50 balls. Their partnership contributed 131 runs.
Chasing 192 target, Amaravati Royals batsmen began with good partnership by first four batsmen. S. Venkat Rahul scored the highest runs with 52 runs which included five sixes, three fours in his 25 balls innings. Hanuma Vihari scored 37 runs, Akula Venkat Vijay 36 and Bandaru Ayyappa 26 runs.
