Amaravati Land Acquisition Draft R&R Package Put Up For Public Scrutiny

Farmers, landowners, displaced persons, and other stakeholders have been given 15 days: Report

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) on Saturday officially released the draft Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) scheme / package for land acquisition related to various works in the Amaravati Capital Region.

The draft package, published on Saturday, October 3, as per provisions of law covers land acquisition for trunk road infrastructure, Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) infrastructure, flood mitigation works, returnable plots, land allotments, and other related projects.

Copies of the draft package have been displayed on notice boards of the tahsildar, MPDO, sub-registrar and gram panchayat offices, village / ward secretariats, APCRDA unit offices, local police stations, and municipal corporation offices in Amaravati.

Farmers, landowners, displaced persons, and other stakeholders have been given 15 days, from October 3 to October 18, to examine the details of the R&R package.

Those having any doubts, claims, objections, or seeking changes or additions to the published package lists can submit their applications or objections to the concerned authorities within the stipulated deadline.

The APCRDA commissioner’s office requested farmers, displaced persons, and other stakeholders to personally verify the R&R package details available at the concerned offices and submit objections, if any, within the 15-day period. Those seeking clarifications or queries have been advised to participate in the gram sabhas to be conducted shortly.
