Amaravati Corporation Studying Delhi Parks for Greening State Capital

She disclosed that as part of this initiative, she led an ADC team to New Delhi on Friday and Saturday to study the Nehru, Asian and Aravalli Biodiversity parks.

Vijayawada: Amaravati Development Corporation (ADC) chairman and managing director Devarakonda Lakshmi Parthasarathy underlined that the state government aims to ensure that the capital city of Amaravati is environment friendly in harmony with nature, so that it becomes a works-class city.

She disclosed that as part of this initiative, she led an ADC team to New Delhi on Friday and Saturday to study the Nehru, Asian and Aravalli Biodiversity parks. On the first day, she said they explored the largest garden in the Chanakyapuri Diplomatic Enclave, which sprawls across 80 acres.

Lakshmi Parthasarathy said they assessed the management activities and development works being undertaken at the renowned park. “The green initiatives being implemented there create a winter-like ambiance even under the harsh sun,” she remarked.

On Saturday, they visited the Aravalli Biodiversity Park located in the Vasant Vihar area spanning 699 acres, whose main goal is to rejuvenate Delhi's biodiversity.

The CMD said through such visits, Amaravati Development Corporation aims to gather insights and strategies that can be effectively implemented in Amaravati to foster a sustainable and eco-friendly urban landscape
