Amaravati Capital Works Speeded Up with Land Allotments
The state government has decided to pool another 40,000 acres of land for an international airport in Amaravati and gave its approval for fresh pooling of another 20,494 acres within the capital area.

Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is speeding up his efforts to complete the works for the Amaravati world-class capital in three years’ time.
With this end in view, the government has allotted lands to a set of institutions and companies in Amaravati. Notably, the alliance government has completed its first year, following which Naidu laid eminent stress on the completion of the Amaravati works in the next three years.
The state government has decided to pool another 40,000 acres of land for an international airport in Amaravati and gave its approval for fresh pooling of another 20,494 acres within the capital area.
The capital region development authority has given its approval to carry out this land acquisition in Vaikunthapuram, Pedamaddur, Yandrai, Karlapudi and Lemalle villages in Amaravathi mandal of Palanadu district and Vaddamanu, Harischandrapuram and Pedaparimmi villages in Thullur mandal of Guntur district.
Naidu speeded up land allocations by frequently conducting CRDA meetings and reviewing the efforts. Lands have been allotted to NABARD, RBI, SBI, UBI, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Canara Bank, Coastal Local Area Bank Ltd and Indian Bank.
Land allotments have also been made to AP state disaster response and fire services department, APNRT, CPWD, CAG, department of Posts, HPCL, HUDCO, IGNOU, LIC, ministry of external affairs to set up a Videsh Bhavan, New India Assurance Company, state forensic lab, sub divisional police office, Zoological Survey of India, ESIC. LVPEI, Indian Red Cross Society and Nandamuri B Rama Rao memorial cancer foundation.
Regarding hotels, lands were allotted to Daspalla Hotels and Consortium, GV Estates & Hotels, GreenPark Hotels and Resorts, GRT Hotels and Resorts, IRCTC, Indroyal Hotels, Malaxmi Infra Ventures, Manjeera Hotels, Om Sree Bhavana Sai Associates, Southern Globe Hotels, Splendour Land base ltd and Varun Hospitality.
As for educational institutions, lands were allotted to Podar International School, Central Chinmaya Mission Trust, Glendale Academy, Kendriya Vidyalaya, St Mathew's Public Schools, Amrita University, Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani, Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD), National Institute of Design (NID), SRM University, India International University of Legal Education and Research, VIT-AP and Xavier Labour Relations Institute.
Lands were allocated for all-India service officers. Judges and registrar generals and registrars, civil services institute, National Quantum Mission (Quantum Valley), and Larsen & Toubro for the establishment of the Construction Skills Training Institute.
For Religious Institutions, land allotments were made to Brahmakumaris Educational Society, Ramakrishna Mission and Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam.
The CRDA approved the invitation of RFP for mixed development projects, including high-density residential zones in the capital. It gave permission to the CRDA to invite RFP for the construction of high-density residential zones and mixed development projects on about 58 acres in the finance and sports cities of Mandadam, Rayapudi and Pichukalapalem, an official release said.
