Godavari districts Dailway Passengers Association president Gatti Satyanarayana and general secretary D.N. Ramesh also welcomed the decision and urged the Railways and the state government to complete the project at the earliest.

Kakinada:Amalapuram MP Ganti Harish Mathur welcomed the state government’s sanction of Rs 100 crore towards its share of the Kotipalli–Narsapur railway line project under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan and education minister N. Lokesh.
He said the government had issued a GO sanctioning the amount, enabling the completion of land acquisition for the project. He added that the funds were released on the 75th birth anniversary of his father, late Lok Sabha Speaker G.M.C. Balayogi, who had worked for the project.
Godavari districts Dailway Passengers Association president Gatti Satyanarayana and general secretary D.N. Ramesh also welcomed the decision and urged the Railways and the state government to complete the project at the earliest.
They demanded that the railway line be extended to Antarvedi, citing the area’s fisheries resources and the centuries-old Sri Lakshmi Narasimha temple. Ramesh said the existing railway line could remain underutilised unless it was extended to Antarvedi.
