Visakhapatnam: The nomination papers of all 10 candidates contesting for the north Andhra teachers' MLC constituency have been approved. Under the supervision of election observer M.M. Nayak, returning officer and Visakhapatnam district collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad conducted the scrutiny process in the presence of the candidates at the local collectorate meeting hall on Tuesday morning.
All the documents submitted by the candidates were carefully examined. A total of 20 nomination sets were filed, of which four were rejected due to errors. However, the respective candidates had submitted alternative sets, which met the necessary criteria and were subsequently approved. As all valid documents complied with the prescribed standards, the returning officer officially approved the nominations of all 10 candidates.
Sattaluri Sriranga Padmavati, Pedapenki Sivaprasad, Sunkara Srinivasa Rao, and Potala Durga Rao submitted two sets each, with one being rejected. The remaining valid sets were approved. Pakalapati Raghuvarma, Gade Srinivasulu Naidu, and Koredla Vijayagouri submitted three sets each, all of which were approved. Kosuru Radhakrishna, Nookala Suryaprakash, and Rayala Satyanarayana submitted one set each, which were also approved.
