All is set in North Andhra for Teachers' MLC polls
Preparations have been made for the Teachers' Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) elections.

Visakhapatnam:Preparations have been made for the Teachers' Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) elections. The voting process is scheduled from 8 am to 4 pm on February 27.
The transportation of polling materials to designated polling stations has commenced successfully with Polling Officers (POs), Assistant Polling Officers (APOs) and associated staff, equipped with essential materials, proceeding to their respective locations.
M.N. Harendira Prasad, the collector of Vizag district and Returning Officer, said thorough evaluations have been conducted to make sure that all the necessary arrangements are made. Teams were dispatched to polling stations under the protection of law enforcement. He confirmed that all election processes were conducted under the regulations imposedby the Election Commission.
Revenue officials have finalised preparations for the elections.
A total of 5,223 teachers are eligible to participate in the electoral process. There are 29 polling stations set up throughout the district.
Alluri Sitarama Raju district collector and election officer A.S. Dinesh Kumar has declared a local holiday for all educational institutions within the Paderu division. Similarly, holiday declared for institutions serving as polling stations in the Rampachodavaram and Chintur divisions.
A. Shyam Prasad, the collector and election officer for Parvathipuram Manyam district, informed the media that there are 2,333 eligible teacher voters in the district, all of whom are expected to exercise their right to vote. Webcasting has been implemented at all polling stations, and facilities such as wheelchairs have been provided to assist individuals with disabilities.
Considering the summer season, sunshades and drinking water provisions have been organised at each polling station to ensure comfort for voters during the election process.
As of Tuesday evening, heightened police security has been deployed at all polling stations. Additionally, all liquor establishments have been mandated to close in view of the elections, and they will remain closed until Friday evening.
Counting votes is scheduled to commence on March 3, leading to the completion of the election process by March 8.
