Akhila Priya Inaugurates 50-Bed Hospital at Allagadda

She said the facility has been upgraded with modern infrastructure to ensure better healthcare services for the people of the region

Kurnool: Allagadda MLA Bhuma Akhila Priya, along with district collector G. Rajakumari inaugurated a 50-bed government hospital equipped with modern facilities at Allagadda town in Nandyal district on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Akhila Priya said that soon after the coalition government assumed office, `8 crore were sanctioned for the hospital’s development. She said the facility has been upgraded with modern infrastructure to ensure better healthcare services for the people of the region.

The MLA said the hospital has been provided with an X-ray unit and a team of 11 specialist doctors who will be available round the clock to offer advanced medical care. She also assured that the hospital would be upgraded to a 100-bed facility in the near future to cater to the growing healthcare needs of the area.

Addressing the gathering, the collector urged patients to make full use of the services available at the upgraded hospital. She also appreciated the efforts of the MLA in taking up the issue with the government and ensuring the establishment of the 50-bed facility.

Hospital committee member Srinivasa Reddy, superintendent Dr Sujatha and officials from various departments were present at the programme.
