Akhanda Godavari Project Will Not Disturb Any Temple
BJP MLA assures ghat beautification, idol uniformity, and no displacement

Kakinada: Rajamahendravaram Urban MLA Adireddy Srinivas disclosed that the Akhanda Godavari project has been designed in such a way that neither a single existing temple nor the existing viewpoint at two bridges on the Pushkar Ghat will be disturbed. The BJP-led central government is funding the Akhanda Godavari project. Addressing media at Rajamahendravaram on Thursday, the MLA asked people not to worry about the project displacing any existing temple. He said it has only been decided that the idols on the embankment will be uniform. Pushkar Ghat will be made more beautiful without disturbing any structure. Speaking about the immersion of idols, he asked the municipal staff to keep cleaning the ghats at the Godavari at regular intervals. He underlined that there should be segregation of idols that could pollute the river. Adireddy Srinivas thanked the NDA-alliance government in AP for conducting the Mega DSC successfully. He went on to assure that DSC recruitments will be held every year Mega and all vacant teachers’ posts will be filled up. The MLA underlined that during the 14 years of Chandrababu Naidu’s chief ministership, 1,80,208 teachers have been recruited, which is a historic achievement. He accused former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of cheating the DSC candidates without filling up the teacher posts. He charged the previous government with not paying salaries to government employees, including teachers, on a regular basis.
