Aim To Teach Yoga To 2 Crore Individuals: NTR District Collector
As part of the ongoing Yoga Andhra Month celebrations, Dr Lakshmisha highlighted the importance of journalists incorporating yoga into their daily lives to enhance mental clarity, alleviate stress and boost creativity in their reporting.

VIJAYAWADA: NTR district collector Dr G. Lakshmisha said that the state government aims to teach yoga to at least two crore individuals through the Yoga Andhra Month initiative. He further said that in light of this objective, a training programme for master trainers is set to take place for two days with hopes of reaching up to 10 to 15 lakh people in the district.
As part of the ongoing Yoga Andhra Month celebrations, Dr Lakshmisha highlighted the importance of journalists incorporating yoga into their daily lives to enhance mental clarity, alleviate stress and boost creativity in their reporting. He also mentioned that the district administration has planned theme-based yoga programmes for different segments of society in the upcoming days.
Collector Dr Lakshmisha inaugurated a theme-based yoga session on Saturday at Sarada College, BRTS Road, in Vijayawada. He engaged in yoga asanas alongside media professionals, marking the fourth day of the month-long festival and the commencement of the "Theme Yoga" series.
Collector Dr Lakshmisha urged individuals of all ages to actively engage and contribute to the success of Yoga Andhra. He elaborated that the Yoga Andhra Month, launched by the state government, aims to train a minimum of 2 crore individuals throughout the state. According to the schedule, theme-based yoga sessions for JAC leaders and government employees are set for May 25, for police personnel and home guards on May 26 and for members of the Walkers Association on May 27, he explained. Subsequently, he announced that the celebrations would culminate in a grand event on International Yoga Day, June 21.
