AIIMS Launches Biplane Cath Lab in Cardiology Department

Vijayawada: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences’ cardiology department launched new services of the seventh-generation Biplane Cath Lab and Treadmill Test Machine at Mangalagiri on Saturday.
The AIIMS executive director and CEO, Prof. Ahanthem Santa Singh, inaugurated the two services. The Azurion Biplane Cath Lab System, a state-of-the-art interventional imaging platform, will significantly enhance cardiac care, neurovascular interventions, and complex endovascular procedures for the people of AP and neighbouring states.
The AIIMS is committed to delivering cutting-edge healthcare technology to AP with the aim of reducing the need for patients to travel long distances for high-end cardiac and neurovascular procedures.
The AIIMS has also installed a state-of-the-art treadmill test machine, and this non-invasive tool plays a crucial role in the early detection of coronary artery disease and assessment of cardiac fitness and exercise tolerance.
A badminton court complex with four courts has also been inaugurated, according to a release from AIIMS.
