VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh is stepping up its digital governance push by integrating artificial intelligence, real-time data and electronic files into administration.

Addressing the second day of the eighth collectors’ conference at the secretariat, Katamneni said the AI-powered Public Grievance Redressal System has received 23,100 complaints through its chatbot.
The system analyses grievances district and mandal-wise, identifies pockets with a high pendency and helps collectors prioritise resolution. It also enables citizens to register complaints through mobile phones, track their status and provide automated feedback after disposal.
The Nellore, Nandyal, Krishna and Sri Sathya Sai districts were cited as models. Nellore’s One Week-One Village initiative has covered 11 villages and resolved 253 grievances. In Nandyal, one complaint about access to an SC burial ground led to identification of 14 similar locations and construction of 14 culverts under MGNREGS.
The Sri Sathya Sai district used advocates’ panels to settle revenue and road-access disputes, resolving 251 grievances, while Krishna district claims to have settled a 25-year-old grievance benefiting 84 people.
Katamneni asked collectors to ensure universal use of AWARE, the RTGS app and website by field-level officials, including Panchayat staff and VROs.
The platform provides real-time information on rainfall, expected precipitation, deficits, reservoir and groundwater levels, water availability and disease intensity. GENCO, municipal administration and fire services are already using AWARE, he said.
Bhaskar also called for wider use of Mana Mitra, noting that 75 per cent of government-service touch points had already shifted online. Four revenue services have been added this week, enabling citizens to download re-issuance certificates, including caste certificates, directly through WhatsApp without filing applications.
The Data Lake, containing nearly 207 citizen attributes, would help officials deliver services without repeatedly seeking information from citizens, he said. DigiVerify would facilitate quick verification of digital documents and certificates.
Katamneni directed collectors to eliminate physical files, saying all government offices must shift completely to e-files within a month. Collectors were asked to monitor e-Office implementation, identify lagging offices and take corrective measures to make digital files the norm.
