Adivasi JAC Wants Removal Of ASR DMHO Over Harassment
The allegations against Dr. Nayak include harassment of female staff working in remote areas, issuing threats to their family members, and making objectionable phone calls: Rama Rao Dora

VISAKHAPATNAM: Adivasi JAC leaders in ASR district have demanded that collector A.S. Dinesh Kumar immediately remove District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) Dr. D. Krishnamurthy Nayak for harassing lower-level employees, particularly tribal women, in the education and medical departments.
In the complaint, ASR district Adivasi JAC chairman Rama Rao Dora charged that though Dr. Nayak, had been suspended three times during his earlier postings for inappropriate behaviour, he has continued harassing staff after taking over as DMHO in the Alluri Sitharama Raju district.
Speaking to media, Rama Rao Dora said the allegations against Dr. Nayak include harassment of female staff working in remote areas, issuing threats to their family members, and making objectionable phone calls. Staff members say the DMHO discourages women staff from being accompanied by relatives during night duties.
The Adivasi JAC chairman charged that FNO Kaka Sammakka had been transferred after she had filed a complaint against Lakshmipuram PHC officer Dr. Muralikrishna, whom Sammakka accused of harassment. Rama Rao Dora said Dr. Krishnamurthy Nayak is protecting Dr. Muralikrishna. He mentioned that other tribal employees have also been transferred under controversial circumstances, amounting to deliberate targeting.
The complaint submitted to the district collector accuses Dr. Krishnamurthy Nayak and Dr. Muralikrishna of using their positions to obstruct payment of salaries. Adivasi leaders maintain that such behaviour undermines medical services in tribal areas, where doctors are already scarce. They demanded strict departmental, criminal, and SC / ST atrocity cases against the two officers.
Those who submitted the complaint included state-level Adivasi JAC leaders Budide Madhav Rao and Manuguri Babuji. They maintained that corrupt officers or those facing charges or misconduct should not be posted in agency areas that heavily rely on government services.
