812 New Police Constables Complete Training in Tirupati District
Passing-out parades held at Kalyani Dam PTC and Venkatagiri APSP Battalion
Tirupati: A total of 812 newly recruited police constables completed their training at two police training centres in Tirupati district on Friday, with passing-out parades held at the Police Training College (PTC), Kalyani Dam, and the 9th APSP Battalion in Venkatagiri.
At the Kalyani Dam PTC, 581 Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constables (Civil) of the 2025–26 batch completed their training. Transport Minister M. Ram Prasad Reddy attended the programme as the chief guest. Chittoor MP Daggumalla Prasada Rao, Tirupati Collector Dr S. Venkateswar and SP L. Subba Rayudu were among those present.
At the 9th APSP Battalion in Venkatagiri, 231 newly recruited Special Constable Trainees completed their nine-month induction training. Municipal administration minister P. Narayana attended the passing out parade as the chief guest, along with Venkatagiri MLA K. Ramakrishna and senior police officials.
Addressing the trainees at Venkatagiri, Narayana said police personnel should work with discipline and commitment to protect society and maintain law and order. The training covered physical fitness, mental preparedness, weapons training, law and order, crowd management, security duties and emergency response.
He said the police uniform represented public trust and responsibility and urged the trainees to work with discipline, honesty, courage, a humane approach and teamwork. He also advised them to remain alert during law and order situations, VIP security, election duties and emergencies and to listen patiently to public grievances.
