75,286 SIR Notices Await Inquiry in Rayalaseema
Over 75,000 SIR notices remain pending for inquiry across Rayalaseema's eight districts as voter list revision nears completion

The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists has entered its final stage in Rayalaseema, with 75,286 notices pending for inquiry across the region’s eight districts.
Of the 15,57,310 notices issued in the eight districts, inquiries have been completed in 15,06,394 cases, according to the latest review of the revision process.
Anantapur has 23,904 pending notices, followed by Tirupati with 24,374. YSR Kadapa has 13,096 pending notices, while Sri Sathya Sai has 12,222 and Annamayya 1,462. Chittoor has completed inquiries into all the notices issued.
Kurnool district has completed inquiries into all 1,05,416 notices issued. In Nandyal, inquiries have been completed in 80,055 of the 80,283 notices, leaving 228 pending.
The State Election Commissioner held a video conference with district collectors on Thursday to review the progress of the voter list revision and pending inquiries.
Kurnool collector Dr A. Siri said officials had been instructed to complete the pending inquiries at the earliest. “We have directed the officials concerned to complete the inquiries into the pending notices quickly. The entire process of disposal of notices should be transparent and follow the prescribed procedure,” she said.
Officials have been asked to closely monitor the disposal of pending notices so that the final voter list can be published after completion of the verification process.
