72-Ft Clay Ganesha in Vijayawada Enters World Records

A 72-foot clay Ganesha at Sitara Grounds, Vijayawada, is recognised by ICWR as the tallest eco-friendly Ganesha idol in the world

A 72-foot-tall clay Ganesha idol installed at Sitara Grounds in Vidyadharpuram has entered world records as the tallest eco-friendly Ganesha idol, according to the Doondi Ganesh Seva Samithi.

The Sri Panchamukha Varasiddhi Maha Matti Ganapati was made mainly with clay and other eco-friendly materials. Ingenious Charm World Records (ICWR) recognised the achievement and issued a world record certificate, which was received by Doondi Ganesh Seva Samithi members from Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) on Wednesday.

Construction of the idol began on July 9 and was completed on September 12. It was unveiled on September 13 for public viewing.

MP Kesineni Sivanath, Telugu Desam leader K. Nagul Meera, M.S. Baig, businessman Vanama Naveen and others offered prayers. Doondi Ganesh Seva Samithi members, including Doondi Rakesh, ICWR representatives and several businessmen participated.
