700 Types of ‘Mana Mitra’ Services in AP from Aug 15

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced that 700 types of government services would be available through ‘Mana Mitra’ WhatsApp governance in AP from August 15.

The CM held a review meeting on Real Time Governance Society with the senior officials here on Monday. He directed the officials to ensure the citizens do not face any trouble to avail the services through WhatApp governance.

With the start of this service, people do not have to frequent government offices to get their things done.

Later, the CM visited the Aware wing in the RTGS and unveiled the Aware 2.0 version developed by it. He said this would be helpful to assess the rainfall in the state and the quantum of rainwater that could enter the rivers from their catchment areas and how much water could be absorbed into the ground.

By analysing such real-time data, the RTGS can alert various departments on optimum utilization of rainwater. Naidu directed the officials to find out the availability of water in the tanks by using the latest technology in the villages so that the stakeholders remain alert about proper usage of such water to avoid drought.

Turning his attention on the maintenance of law and order and vehicular traffic, the CM called for usage of CC cameras to keep a tab on law and order situation and vehicular traffic. Flood situations can be monitored by cameras, he said.

For motorists involved in violation of traffic norms, Naidu advised the officials to send video chips of such violations to the violators though WhatsApp to bring about awareness among them not to repeat such offences again.
