5.76 Lakh Devotees Have Govinda’s Darshan During Tirumala Brahmotsavams
TTD served 21.84 lakh Annaprasadam meals and sold 33 lakh laddus during the eight-day period. The Srivari Hundi received ₹28.94 crore.
As many as 5.76 lakh devotees have received darshan of Lord Venkateswara during the eight days of the Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams at Tirumala. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) received ₹28.94 crore in hundi offerings.
Sharing the festival statistics at a press conference in Tirumala on Wednesday, TTD chairman B.R. Naidu, accompanied by executive officer (EO) M. Ravichandra, said the Brahmotsavams have been conducted successfully with the collective efforts of TTD priests, officials and employees, the district administration, police, Srivari Sevaks, and devotees.
The TTD chairman said all devotees who came to Tirumala on the Garuda Seva day had been provided the Vahana Seva Darshan. He said he and senior officials personally inspected the galleries and queue lines during the Brahmotsavams and interacted with devotees, who expressed satisfaction over the arrangements.
"On Garuda Seva day, we deployed 3,500 sanitation staff in Tirumala who collected over 173 tonnes of wet and dry waste, which has been transported to the dumping yard. Around 4,000 police personnel had been deployed in addition to the 2,400 TTD vigilance staff for crowd management and security of devotees," B.R. Naidu said.
He disclosed that 21.84 lakh Annaprasadam meals had been distributed and 33 lakh laddus sold during the eight-day period, while 2.04 lakh devotees offered their hair to the Lord.
APSRTC carried 3,92,106 devotees from Tirupati to Tirumala in 13,671 trips and 4,97,195 devotees from Tirumala to Tirupati in 13,584 trips.
The TTD chairman said 295 cultural troupes from 20 states, one union territory, and Germany and Singapore involving 7,871 artistes, performed before the vahana sevas.
He thanked TTD priests, officials, and employees, district and police officials, Srivari Sevaks, sanitation and medical personnel, and devotees for their cooperation in conducting the Brahmotsavams.
Those present at the media conference included TTD board members, the EO, additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, CVSO K.V. Murali Krishna, and district SP L. Subba Rayudu.
