₹5.63 Cr Approved For 3 Pushkaralu Health Centres: AP Health Minister

Vijayawada: Health minister Satya Kumar Yadav has announced that three health centres will be developed with additional facilities at a cost of ₹5.63 crore to meet the healthcare requirements of the devotees for the Godavari Pushkaralu.

The minister has given his consent for the proposal to develop a regional hospital in Kovvur and two community health centres at Nidadavole and Mandapeta by taking up additional construction of buildings and providing more amenities.

At Mandapeta CHC, works worth ₹3.75 crore will be taken up by enhancing the bed strength to 100 from 30. At Nidadavole CHC, works like additional outpatient consultation rooms, eight toilets, a compound wall and cement-concrete roads, a generator, a borewell, medical equipment, furniture, water and power supply will be taken up at ₹1 crore.

In Kovvur hospital, works like change of flooring, development of drainage system, repairs to roof, installation of a new transformer and setting up a generator will be taken up at a cost of ₹88 lakh.

The Godavari Pushkaralu will be held for a period of 12 days beginning from June 26 to July 7, 2027.
