448 Ganesh Idols To Be Immersed In Adoni Today

Kurnool: District police have made elaborate security arrangements for the Ganesh idol immersion scheduled to take place on Sunday in Adoni, Kodumur, and Gudur. Superintendent of Police Vikrant Patil said that a total of 448 idols in Adoni and 97 idols in Kodumur and Gudur will be immersed under tight security.
For smooth and peaceful conduct of the event, two Additional SPs, five DSPs, 40 CIs and RIs, 60 SIs, 122 ASIs and Head Constables, 264 Constables, 20 Special Striking Force personnel, 79 Special Party police, 201 Home Guards, as well as Rope Party and Mobile Party police have been deployed. Bomb disposal and dog squads are also conducting extensive checks.
