41 Candidates Secure Jobs at Divyang Job Fair in Markapur
As many as 25 private companies participated in the recruitment drive.
Nellore: A special job fair for persons with disabilities, organised by the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), was held at the Zilla Parishad Government Girls High School in Markapur constituency on Tuesday.
As many as 25 private companies participated in the recruitment drive. Of the 170 unemployed candidates who attended the interviews, 41 secured jobs in various companies, while another 30 were shortlisted for the next round of interviews.
Speaking on the occasion, former municipal chairperson Mallikarjun Rao urged unemployed youth to make the best use of such employment opportunities.
District skill development officer M. Kanchibabu said the state government was organising one job fair every month in each Assembly constituency on the directions of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. He appealed to job seekers to utilise the recruitment drives to build their careers.
AMC chairman M. Venkata Reddy, town president Ibrahim, district placement officer T. Nathan and officials of the skill development and employment training department attended the programme.
